Tremend is looking for a Support Engineer to join our team of bright thinkers and doers. You’ll use your problem-solving creativity to figure out our client’s most complex and challenging problems across different industries. Your Impact:

• Respond to and resolve escalated technical issues related to the ERP system, ensuring minimal impact on business operations. Investigate, diagnose, and troubleshoot complex problems, collaborating with Level 1 support and development teams as necessary
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend and implement solutions to enhance the performance and scalability of the ERP system. Proactively address potential performance issues and work on optimization strategies
• Maintain and administer the Oracle database, including monitoring, backup, recovery, and data integrity. Optimize SQL queries and database processes for improved efficiency
• Manage and maintain the Linux-based environment (RedHat) on which the ERP system is hosted. Perform system updates, patches, and security configurations to ensure a secure and stable environment.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles, to facilitate efficient issue resolution and knowledge sharing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and quality assurance, to address critical technical issues, participate in root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures
• Assist in the testing and deployment of ERP system updates, enhancements, and patches. Conduct thorough testing to ensure the integrity of the system after updates.

Your Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Strong experience with Java applications and Relational database
• Proficiency in Linux system administration, particularly RedHat.
• Proven experience in providing Level 2/3 technical support for enterprise applications
• Solid understanding of ERP concepts and business processes
• Knowledge of SQL optimization techniques and performance tuning
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) is a plus
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Database Administration, RedHat Certified Engineer) are advantageous.
